Hence, during reproduction there are distinct do's and don'ts which have to followed to the core to give the hemorrhoids a miss. These include:

1) Avoiding constipation- You need to take extra care and preclude constipation at all cost even if it means taking bulk-forming laxative. Also change in the eating habits is a must. You should avoid deep fried foods and all other food rich in protein and fats. You must also increase the intake of vitamins, salads and fresh juices.

2) Make sure to use ice-packs- You must use ice-packs on the anal area to keep the veins in that area shrunk. This will help in combating the hemorrhoids and also keep the baby safe and you relaxed.

3) Taking regular warm baths- This will make sure to keep you relaxed at all points of time and also help in maintaining a proper blood circulation. Plus that you will feel mentally clean and neat. This is absolutely a major plus.

4) Do Kegel exercises under curative supervision. This will also enhance blood flow to the affected area.

5) Use creams over the affected areas and the best one is ice cold hazel cream. This is very soothing and gives almost instant relief plus this is not hazardous to the baby and is given a clean cheat by the curative authorities.

6) Walk- during your reproduction makes sure to walk; only if slowly, but walk for at least 15 minutes and see the wonderful effect. This would give you a good blood circulation, elevate your mood, give your immunity a major uplift and hence make you strong overall. And this is also good for the baby.

7) Make sure to take proper rest and not sit for long periods and rest on your left hand side as and when possible. Sleep as much as you can and stay stress free. Do not force yourself too much.

8) Make sure not to scratch or itch the affected area as it will do more harm than good even if the urge to do so is strong.

9) Take many small bathroom breaks. Even if the urge is very small then also visit the toilet and throw out whatever that comes. This will be of exceptional use as it will keep the bowel movements clear and the fecal matter soft and hence it will not cause your hemorrhoids to bleed.

All these are the precautions to be kept during the reproduction period. But even after giving birth, the situation does not disappear. It can still remain. So taking precautionary measures even after giving birth is equally important.
